Our Story
I was born and raised in Mali, West Africa — the birthplace of authentic mudcloth. Growing up, these textiles weren't décor. They were life. They told the stories of our ancestors, marked our celebrations, and wrapped our most sacred moments.
The Mission
When I immigrated to the United States, I carried Mali in my heart. I walked into beautiful homes that were missing something — soul. So I did what felt natural: I went back home.
Today, I personally travel to Mali and across Africa, handpicking only the most skilled artisans to create exclusively for Bozzena. I don’t buy from middlemen or warehouses. I sit with the weavers. I know their names. I know their families.
A Collection That Grew
What started with textiles has grown into a curated home for African craftsmanship — hand-carved Senufo benches and chairs from the Ivory Coast, Tuareg leather from Mali, sculpture, baskets, jewelry, and small pieces of everyday beauty meant to bring warmth, texture, and story into your space.
The Bozzena Promise
Every Bozzena piece is
Made by a master artisan, personally selected by our founder in Mali and across Africa
Created using traditional techniques passed down through centuries.
Crafted with natural materials and time-honored processes — including the original fermented-mud bogolan dyeing behind our signature mudcloth.
Personally inspected and brought to you directly from the artisan's hands to your home.
